Worldcon-2006/notes

* Copied original .wav files (as split) to orig before normalizing with
  > normalize-audio *.wav  
  normalize-audio.log  was done by cut-and-paste.  Use --no-progress when
  piping directly into a log file.

* There's a lot of hiss in the intros, which were boosted 15-20db.  Mixing to
  mono and dropping by 3dB help.  May be better to leave in stereo and drop
  6dB instead.  Noise removal, combined with a 6db cut afterward, seems to
  work pretty well, but drop it down to minimum removal.  There's a lot of
  ringing even so.
